4 Amazon Pieces We Have Deemed ‘Necessary’ This Summer

February 6, 2025 by Shelley Thompson

Summer is officially here and we’re feelin’ it! But that doesn’t mean our wardrobe has to suffer because we “don’t want to wear pants” or whatever the case may be. We can still serve big looks even when it’s hot, hot, hot out there. Here are just four of our summertime wardrobe essentials we won’t be without this summer. And we haven’t even gotten to the best part(s) yet: these pieces are all from Amazon, they’re all under $45, and most of these make for great transition pieces for spring and fall! Let’s get started.

Plain White Tees

We know, a plain white tee isn’t super exciting, so we won’t elaborate too much on it, but just trust us when we say that a white tee is a vital part of our wardrobe no matter the season. We love to buy them oversized so we can wear them knotted with denim shorts, linen pants, wrap skirts, mini skirts, you name it.

The Overalls

We love these overalls for so many reasons. First of all, these aren’t your typical overalls and we’re living for the easy, breezy silhouette these give, the wide leg makes these a great fit for any and all body types, and these make a great transition piece for the spring and fall. We love to wear these with a thick strap tank underneath, our comfiest Birkenstocks, and our favorite woven crossbody bag.

A Skort

This is one of those pieces from our childhood that we kinda forgot about, but now that they’re back in style, we never want to be without them again. What could possibly be better than the combination of shorts and a skirt? They just go together! And it probably goes without saying that we love them because they look like a skirt, but can we worn like shorts, so no worries when it comes to sitting, bending, twisting, climbing, or whatever. You’re good as gold. We love to wear this particular skirt with a band tee and our best retro sneakers.

Elastic Waist Ruffle Wrap-Tie Skort from Amazon ($21.99, shop here)

Slouchy Boyfriend Jeans

We know what you’re thinking, but we still love a good slouchy and heavily destructed pair of good-fitting jeans in the summertime. Throw them on with a cropped tee and sandals and you’ve got an effortlessly chic look for just about any casual function.
