Use hydrogen peroxide instead of dish soap to clean cutting boards
Cutting boards are a perfect location for bacteria to grow. Everybody knows that meats and vegetables should have their own boards to avoid cross-contamination, but did you also know that you should avoid washing them with dish soap? This might sound strange, but it will make sense in a moment.
First of all, soap is not the best product to clean surfaces that may have deep cuts on them since it has a hard time penetrating all the way down. Secondly, any sponge you use to scrub will end up contaminated by the germs on the board, or even depositing more if it has not been changed recently. Try soaking them in hydrogen peroxide instead.
