Wait a bit before making the bed
Making your bed every morning has been proven to help you start off the day in a more efficient way. After all, according to the National Sleep Foundation, those who do this report sleeping better later at night. It may sound strange, but an organized space translates into an organized mind. You might want to wait a bit before you make it, though.
Most people sweat during the night, and if you make the bed immediately after you wake up you will be trapping all that moisture inside your sheets. Dust mites, among other nasty critters like bacteria, love warm, damp places, and your slightly humid sheets are a perfect breeding ground for them. That is why you should let them air out for a bit.
