Do not let lint accumulate in your dryer trays
The tumbling movement of dryers makes the clothes rub together, which in turn generates static electricity and causes the items to lose small fibers that we eventually collect as lint. Most machines have trays to catch this stray cloth and keep it from interfering with the appliance’s normal functioning. However, it is crucial to keep those trays clean.
Otherwise, the accumulated lint can turn into a fire hazard. The static electricity and the heat generated inside the machine make it prone to catching on fire, and those small fibers of cloth are the perfect fuel to turn a spark into an out-of-control blaze. Avoid any potential risks by cleaning the trays as often as possible.
