Antique skeleton keys can have a decorative purpose
Vintage keys do not seem to have many uses since the doors they opened are probably long gone. Although they may have lost their practical purpose, they still have a decorative one. They can be repurposed into tasteful wall-hangings or be used to make other items such as wind chimes.
The centerpiece of this DIY is the keys, of course, but it does not take many additional supplies to make. You will need a 4-inch and a 6-inch embroidery hoop, glue, and jute twine. Start by wrapping the chord around the circles. Then, tie the two rings together and string half the keys to each one. The brown string is the perfect complement to the iron.
