This planter and wind chime combo is an authentic statement piece
Some people would rather have more discreet wind chimes, but others may wish for an actual statement piece to hang outside from their favorite old oak. For the latter, we have this DIY tutorial that involves a metal strainer and old spoons. The top also doubles as a planter where you can grow some pretty flowers.
The sound-making portion of this project is the spoons and the giant glass crystal hanging from the bottom, which is attached with chains. As for the planter part, the key is to fill up the bottom and sides with cocoa fibers and then cover it with potting soil. Then, it is just a matter of planting some succulent or smaller flowers and watering them as necessary. The result looks genuinely spectacular.
