A steampunk wind chime for those who love metallics
You have probably seen plenty of DIYs that call for antique keys to make the dangling bits of the wind chime. This is not without reason since those items look pretty and create a pleasant sound when stirred by a breeze. The unique feature about this one is that it includes a see-through organza cloth in the middle.
The benefit of using an embroidery hoop as a central structure is that you can sandwich any material you wish between the two parts of the ring. In this case, they went the steampunk route and included a black lace lock applique on a translucent cloth. The shimmer in the fabric reflects the sunlight and gives this decor piece an ethereal look that contrasts with the copper metals.
