Paint clay pots in slightly lighter shades to create an ombre effect
Did you know that clay pots can be used to craft windchimes? When hit, they make a deep, dry sound that may appeal to those who like quieter tunes better. Of course, you can easily personalize them to suit your tastes. The aim here was to create an ombre effect by painting each pot in a slightly lighter shade.
Begin by painting the clay pots and letting them dry overnight. Most of the ones you buy in craft stores come with a small hole in the bottom through which you can string a piece of rope to tie everything together. Then, make a knot under the hole big enough to keep the pot from sliding. Try attaching a big crystal to the bottom, so it acts as a weight.
