De-stemming herbs: Another use for a cheese grater
If you are into cooking and enjoy making many meals, this is the perfect kitchen shortcut. A time consuming task when making salads or dishes is separating the stems and leaves of herbs. Usually, only the leaves of herbs are used as aromatics in dishes, and the stems are discarded.

To separate the herbs from their stems, you just need to put one end in a cheese grater and pull it out from the other side! The tiny hole will not let the leaves pass, and you’ll be left with all the leaves on one side.
