Make this faux embroidery shade for your bedside table

If you don’t know how to embroider but still want that delicate look of hand-made designs, this project is for you. To make this shade, look for linen fabric, adhesive fabric spray, a hot glue gun, and some fancy cording that will give the effect of being stitched. None of your guests will believe how uncomplicated this was when they see your elegant lamp.

First, measure your fabric leaving at least one inch extra on the top and bottom of your shade. Then, lay your cording in the shape that you want and stick it with a hot glue gun.
