Make another ombré lampshade using hair dye
This is another alternative for you ombré lovers out there. This time, the material used to create this famous effect isn’t yard, but dye, which is far more tricky. The exciting thing about this tutorial is that hair dye is needed, so if you’ve got any leftovers from the crazy hair phase you went through when you were thirteen, now’s the time to use it.

First, fill a basin with about 2 inches of warm water and dunk your lampshade in order to wet the fabric. Then, remove it from the water, put a dollop of dye in that same basin, and test to see if you’ve got the color you want with a strip of cotton fabric. Afterward, place your shade into the dye bath, and you’re done.
