Offer veggies and fruits as treats for your dogs
When dog owners come up with a plan to train their dogs, they never think of giving their pups fresh fruits and vegetables as a reward when they learn a new trick. This doesn’t mean that dog cookies and rawhide bones don’t make excellent treats. However, they’re not nearly as healthy as other types of food.
It’s surprising to learn that dogs enjoy eating fruits and vegetables. In fact, some dogs really like carrots, bananas, or apples, which can provide dozens of vitamins and fiber. All these options are low in calories, so dogs can eat a lot of them whenever they want. Just be sure to check first whether veggies and fruits are safe for your pup to eat.
