Limewash Paint
Did you know that Roman villas were bursting with color? Much of the paint that used to adorn the buildings has worn off, but there are still some remains that showed limewashing was a favorite technique of theirs. It has recently made a comeback.
This painting technique leaves a chalky, textured look that gives a lot of visual interest to a room. It’s achieved by applying the paint in a cross-hatch pattern and dries down with slight tone variations of the color you selected.
