Disinfect cuts
Most disinfectants have antiseptic ingredients to kill off germs that could cause infection. Guess what common household item also has antiseptic ingredients? Yes, it is mouth rinse. Most oral rinses have antibacterial properties, along with a percentage of alcohol content. These ingredients make it an excellent option to use if you ever need to sanitize a cut.
Mouthwash can be a great addition to any first aid kit. You can even buy a travel-sized version to keep in your car or anywhere else with limited storage space. If you ever get a cut, you do not have to worry about it getting infected. Gently pat some breath freshener onto the wound and eliminate any bacteria that might be harmful.
