DIY a smaller spout for your cooking oil
What do a rubbing alcohol bottle and a cooking oil bottle have in common? They both tend to have annoyingly wide spouts. We all know the feeling of wanting to disinfect a small cut and end up pouring the entire thing on. The same with the oil, you want to stir-fry some veggies and suddenly they are swimming in a pool of sunflower oil.

If you are looking to avoid going through an entire gallon of product in one sitting, there is a trick you can try. First, do not take off the bottle’s paper cover. Instead, leave it and poke some holes through it. That way, you will have a DIY doser so you can be more efficient with the amount of oil you use.
