As we head into cooler months, we’re fully aware we’re going to be spending a lot more time indoors, and we don’t know about you, but the more time we spend inside, the more time we spend thinking about what we can change. If you’re looking for some ways to spruce up your surroundings this fall and winter, we’ve got you covered.
Replace your hardware
A new faucet or new door handles can completely transform your aesthetic. Consider switching up your metal or going full eclectic by scouting a random assortment from a favorite antique shop.
Add a statement wall
We all have that one wall we just don’t like for some reason, but hear us out: make it your favorite wall by transforming it into a statement wall. Do this by simply changing the color, or go the extra mile and opt for a playful pattern complete with gallery-style art.

Update your throw pillows
Throw pillows are a quick and easy way to transform an entire room. If you love a calming boho aesthetic, we love a collection of earth hues and various cozy textures, and if you’re more of a maximalist that fancies color and patterns, then a collection of over the top throw pillows is probably just what you need.

Statement wall, simplified
If painting or wallpapering your walls isn’t an option, don’t sweat it! Consider getting pictures printed and framed or snagging some vintage artwork to liven things up. This is a great way to add color and play with dimension.
Move your furniture around
Relive your childhood by committing to rearranging your furniture (maybe just not at 2 AM like you used to, come on, we can’t be alone in this!) Shuffling your furniture around will change the entire room and you aren’t out a single penny. Plus, this gives you a great opportunity to clean areas you may have been neglecting for some time.
Add some greenery
Adding a new plant (or six!) or a single (or several!) grocery store bouquets is a simple and fun way to freshen up your space and add some color.

Go the historical route
Scout out some unique antique pieces you would be proud to show off. Take the time to find a great display spot, then do your research on your cool find! When you have guests over, we’re willing to bet this will be an excellent conversation piece. (Plus you’ll look super smart if you know a lot about it, hey, we’ve got your back.)
