Rid your kitchen sponges of microbes
Kitchen sponges are helpful to clean food leftovers, sauces, and other greasy ingredients you may put on your plate. How could they not get so filthy? You should clean them the same way you clean other things in your house. It’s not enough to do it with detergent, as they contain harmful bacteria like Moraxella osloensis.

It is advisable to clean your sponges daily with this next hack. Soak them in half a teaspoon of bleach per quart of warm water for 5 minutes. Then, rinse the sponges with cold water and place them on the upper rack of your dishwasher. Set on a high temperature and turn on the rinse feature. After everything you put them through, your sponges will thank you.
