Scrape the bottom of your shoes with sandpaper
Next time you see someone tripping over, know that clumsiness might not be the real reason behind their accident. Most of the time, new shoes come with super smooth soles that can cause you to fall and make a fool of yourself in public. Luckily, there’s a way of avoiding this fate.
Just take your brand-new shoes and rub the soles with sandpaper. As a result, your soles will become rougher and, therefore, non-slippery. If you’re in a hurry and need to wear your shoes instantly, you could also achieve the same effect by sticking a couple of fabric plasters to the bottom.
