Put out a grease fire
When we’re cooking, we never remember that simple task is the leading cause of house fires. A common type of fire that can occur while you’re preparing your meal is the grease fire. This kind of fire happens when grease, fat, or oil on a stovetop, oven, or fryer gets hot enough to ignite. They can burn very hot and spread fast if not handled properly.
This hack is quite simple because all you have to know is that you can extinguish a small fire with baking soda. Sodium bicarbonate reacts with the fire heat, producing carbon dioxide and quickly putting off the flames. Although this information is pretty useful, experienced firefighters should be the only ones extinguishing dangerous fires. So, don’t hesitate to call 911 in case of an emergency.
