Get rid of any leftover smell in plastic containers
Whether you’ve packed lunch or used them to store leftover food, your plastic containers will probably get stained. It’s even worse if you keep portions of pasta and soup with tomato-based sauces. Many people throw away their containers once they reach a shade of orange on their surface. This attitude represents a massive waste, especially when they could easily be cleaned with baking soda.
Food stains may seem impossible to remove, but trust us on this one. Fill half the container you want to clean with warm water and add two to four tablespoons of sodium bicarbonate. Let it soak in the mixture for an hour, and wash it as usual afterward. The incredible cleaning power of baking soda should help every container look almost new.
