Clean and deodorize your cutting board
Wooden cutting boards are probably the most versatile kitchen tools you can have at home. Not only are they great for chopping veggies and meat, but they also make lovely serving platters for charcuterie and slices of bread. However, cleaning them thoroughly while guaranteeing they stay in tip-top shape can sometimes be challenging because wood absorbs odors faster than plastic or ceramic.
Baking soda is your best friend when it comes to cleaning and deodorizing a cutting board. Sprinkle sodium bicarbonate on the board and use a sliced lemon as a scrubber. You should get rid of all the funky smells attached to the wood. After rinsing with cold water, the cutting board will be sparkling clean and smelling as fresh as ever.
