Re-use old jars and avoid the hassle of having to clean off all the sticky residue
Do you love reusing marmalade jars, but just cannot stand the sticky residue the labels leave behind when you peel them off? It is understandable, but it is a shame to waste a perfectly good container. What you could do, though, is try this quick fix that will surely save you some trouble.
The same product you use for your hair can help leave the glass clear and residue-free. Spray a liberal amount of hair lacquer onto the sticky parts then rub it vigorously with a towel. If you sanitize the jars properly, they can even serve to keep your homemade jams from spoiling for months. It is amazing, right?
