Reduce Backpack Odor
After playing, exercising, and the mess that comes with pouring food and snacks in their backpacks, your kids’ school bags can start to really stink, and sometimes washing them doesn’t do the trick because the smell seems stuck to the fabric.
When this happens, just put a scented bar soap in a Ziploc bag, puncture some holes in it so the smell can come out, then empty the bag and put the soap in. Let it sit overnight or over the weekend if there is time. If the bag is really dirty and smelly, it’s best to wash and dry it first before trying out this hack.
