If you recently pierced your ears, apply a saltwater solution
It’s uncommon for people who’ve pierced their ears or any other part of their bodies to clean their piercings. Those who do, usually give up after a few weeks after believing this process to be unimportant or tiring. However, new piercings require attentive care. You should clean around and beneath the stud or earring to rinse away potential bacteria and prevent infections.
The most frequent signs of infection are redness and swelling. To escape this situation, combine distilled water with sea salt in equal amounts. Soak your piercing in this solution, and clean the pierced area of your body with a bar of antiseptic soap, too. For a gentle reminder, you can do this before going to sleep or every time you take a shower.
