There is nothing like curling up under a cozy blanket when it is cold outside. During the winter months, every activity just gets better if you add a nice cover: watching a movie or a TV show, reading a book, or simply snuggling with your favorite person to keep each other warm. You can always head out to your nearest department store and get a beautiful new covering, but where is the fun? We have a much better solution for your home. Not only are we bringing you interesting DIY ideas to craft your handmade blanket, but we are also adding some extra tips to ensure that your project turns out just as good as you have planned it.
Create this easy baby quilt from receiving blankets
When the winter comes, keeping their baby cozy and warm is one of the most important things a parent needs to ensure if they want to protect them. You can make a nice and comfy quilt for your child with all the unused receiving blankets people have gifted you after the baby was born. You can start this project by cutting squares out of the different fabrics.
Once you have your blankets cut out, sew the squares into the two sides of the quilt, and add some padding in the middle. To finish the piece, make the quilted pattern with your sewing machine.
