Press-on nails can be an amazing thing (we’ll get to the reasons why in a second!) but there are a lot on the market right now, so trying to select the best brand can be overwhelming, and even though they’re a cheaper option nobody wants to put the time into press-on nails just for them to come off after a day, so today we’re looking at a few pros and cons of press-on nails, our favorite brands, and some tricks to keep them on. Let’s get into it!

Pros and Cons of Press-On Nails
Pro: easy to apply. When it comes to press-ons versus trying to apply your own acrylics, press-on nails are hands-down way easier.
Con: they require some maintenance. We always keep nail glue on us, just in case.
Pro: they’re super cute. There are a ton of design options out there, french tips, flowers, smiley faces, accent nails, marbling, you name it.
Pro: way cheap. You can nab press-on nails as cheap as less than $10.
Pro: application time is super fast. Depending on how busy the nail salon is, sometimes you have to wait for 30 minutes to an hour before you even get a chair, with press-on nails the entire application process usually only takes about 30 minutes.

Tips and Tricks
- Start with prepping your nails by clipping them and making sure they’re extra clean.
- Pick out your nail sizes before you start, the last thing you want is to sit there with wet glue on your nails, letting that dry, then having to apply more, it’s a vicious cycle, trust us.
- Apply one nail at a time; cover your entire nail with glue and hold your nail on for 20 seconds and you should be ready to rock for two weeks.
- Opting for shorter nails will ensure they’ll stay on longer, but super long and coffin-style nails aren’t out of the question.
- Consider using a different glue than the one that comes with your nails, you can nab an extra-strength glue at the same place you nab your nails.
