We are fully aware that not every baked good is created equal but have you ever wondered how bakeries make everything taste so rich, so decadent, and just so delicious? Now, we aren’t saying that the art you create in the kitchen isn’t rich, decadent, and delicious, we’re just saying, based on our own skill set, it’s simply not AS rich, decadent, and delicious as what we’ve had at our favorite local bakery. So today we’re looking at a few recipes that are guaranteed to give you that rich, decadent, and delicious taste. (And we promise we’ll stop saying ‘rich’, ‘decadent’, and ‘delicious’ now.)
Cake

Turning a cake mix into a bakery-style cake is actually super easy! All you have to do is swap out water for milk, rather than a measly 3 eggs, use 5, and instead of using oil, use melted butter instead and double the amount. You’ll notice that your cake batter will be slightly thicker than usual before going into the oven, and when you take it out, you can count on it being taller and fluffier, and the best part? You’ll notice the taste is simply *chef’s kiss*. This same hack can be applied if you plan on making cupcakes as well, and we have a sneaking suspicion you’ll love the end result.
Rice Krispie Treats
Just like the author of this recipe states, rice krispie treats are gigantic in bakeries, and the size has a direct correlation to the taste, we just know it. This recipe isn’t much different from the classic one we know and love, but it does include the option of using brown butter, and we highly recommend doing so! Double Chocolate Muffins
Don’t even get us started on muffins from bakeries; they’re somehow moist, full of flavor, and the perfect shape and size. Oftentimes we think of muffin recipes as oddly complicated, but these are, in fact, the opposite, giving you warm, gooey muffins in a matter of 45 minutes! Get the full recipe here!
Chocolate Chip Cookie
Last, but certainly not least, we have the ultimate chocolate chip cookie. And honestly, is there anything in this world better than a molten chocolate chip cookie that’s been out of the oven just long enough that you can actually enjoy it? It’s actually super easy (and way cheaper) to make these bakery-style delectable treats and you get the benefit of helping yourself to a little cookie dough and smelling them while they bake.
