Even inexperienced DIYers can complete this project with the help of some wooden blocks
This simple DIY project uses only $7.00 in materials but has a big impact on any space. By painting different sides of wooden cubes and hanging them by the corner, you can create the illusion of much more complicated geometric shapes without having to cut any fancy angles (or cut the wood at all). And because it is constantly moving and changing, it appears different from all sides.
You need 5x 1 1/2″ wooden cubes, acrylic paint in different colors and brushes, small screw eyes, measuring tape, 2x 36″ lengths piano (music) wire, cutting pliers, needle nose pliers, awl or thick nail, and electric drill and drill bits.
