A great way to take the “corky” taste off your wine
If you are a wine expert, you probably know that cork taint can affect how a wine tastes. People usually say that the wine has gone “corky” when this happens. Even if this is not harmful to one’s health, the taste can be quite unpleasant. “Corky” wines have a musty chemical smell, but you can take it out with this next hack.
The next time you get a “corky” wine, do not throw it away. You can salvage it by using plastic wrap. Place the wrap in a pitcher and serve the wine there. Then, gently swirl the filled pitcher. Plastic wrap absorbs the taint. But if it does not work on the first try, you can do this until your wine tastes better.
