No more freezer burn on your ice cream
There is nothing sadder than finding that your fine pint of ice cream is ruined because of freezer burn. But freezer burn is simply a product of dehydration. Over time, the ice of the ice cream evaporates. This leaves the thin ice cape on top of the food and makes it dry. Fortunately, one way to prevent it is by using plastic wrap.
Foods with freezer burn are not dangerous to eat, still, we feel like they have gone to waste. So it is better to prevent this from happening at all. Just cover the top of the ice cream (or any other food you freeze) with wrap before putting the lid back on. This adds an extra layer of protection to keep your food fresh.
