Who Said You Have To Splurge On Your Halloween Costume? These Dollar Tree Items Will Do The Trick!

November 17, 2024 by Shelley Thompson

Even a kid knows ‘spooky’ is a dominant theme in Halloween costumes. Spending money on expensive costumes adds up and can be wasteful because you will wear them once. Well, the good thing is that you don’t need to break the bank. With these Dollar Tree costume ideas, we’ll take you on a horror trip down the costume aisle. Below are items at a dollar store to curate your Halloween costume.

Capture the spooky vibe with this costume

Is there a better character to dress as on Halloween than a ghost? Parents can help their kids out with this cute costume. The entire family might as well go out as a group of ghosts.

Buy a white sheet from the dollar store. All you have to do to turn it into a ghost costume is cut out two holes for your eyes. Then, pick up your candy basket or any other similar container and wear it as a hat over your bedspread.

Nothing screams Halloween louder

The witch costume is the most popular. You can buy the hat from Dollar Tree if you don’t want to look like a regular witch. Dress you or your child in black clothes that you already own.

The clothes should be a bit oversized so you can give a spooky vibe. Get a straw, wrap it in paper, and paint it black to make a wand. Like that, you are ready to cast spells with your easy DIY witch outfit.

Walk like an ancient Egyptian

While many people dress up like ghosts on Halloween, not many will think of this unique twist. You could dress up as an Egyptian mummy with lots of toilet paper. It isn’t just unique. It’s cheap and easy to DIY.

However, you have to hold the toilet paper with glue- you don’t want it to loosen while stretching to collect candy. To make it fun, learn the mummy walk- several others will copy you next year.

This evergreen costume is surprisingly easy to rock

Give yourself or your child an excellent little face paint to make it more of a costume. You don’t have to wear a colored wig to give off Joker’s vibe. You can mix and match in a unique way without missing the spooky aura.

You may not even have to spend a dime. All you need to do is wear a striped shirt, a skirt or Jeans and a beret on your head. You can get some white paint and design your face or your kid’s face with it.

With these costumes, the sky is your creativity limit

If you are out of ideas for a costume, you can easily purchase different random items and set your creative mind ablaze. The key here is to picture an idea in your head so you don’t buy what you don’t need. So, what type of items are we talking about?

You can make any outfit with cardboard, plastic, and makers. It can be the salt-and-pepper outfit or an ice-cream man. With these cheap items that can be gotten for less than a dollar, you can be anything you want to be.
