Elevate your dog’s bowl
There’s a simple trick that can help your dog quite a lot. While most pet owners leave their furry friends’ water and food bowls on the floor, there are several advantages to placing them a little bit higher. Elevating your pet’s bowls leads to better posture, helps with swallowing, and even slows down fast eaters.
Other benefits are that it prevents dogs from lying down while eating and keeps the feeding area much cleaner. Although we know that elevated dog bowls are usually more expensive than average ones, it would be a waste of money to buy them when they can be made at home. Simply raise the height of the food dishes by putting a cardboard box underneath them.
