Use it as a Band-Aid
When you get a small cut—paper cut, hangnail, or another minute scratch—, you disinfect the wound and look for a Band-Aid to cover it. They always come in handy to help cuts heal faster because they protect the minor injury and the scab from friction, dirt, and bacteria. But what can you do if you don’t have any Band-Aids at home and need to treat a tiny cut?
In that case, some people say you can use clear nail polish as an alternative adhesive because of its astringent properties. Since this lacquer is non-toxic, it should work nearly the same as more expensive liquid adhesives. Nonetheless, we recommend talking to a doctor before trying this hack. If the wound isn’t clean enough, it could develop an infection.
