Upgrade your salt shaker
Most of us know that having too much salt with our meals isn’t good for our health. However, we often think this isn’t something we should worry about until we grow older. Unfortunately, consuming a lot of sodium during childhood increases blood pressure, which tracks into adulthood and later life. This consumption increases our risk of heart disease from a very young age.
Reducing our sodium consumption may not be easy unless we upgrade our salt shakers. These kitchen items dispense a little too much salt most of the time. To fix this issue, you can remove the top of the shaker and use some clear nail polish to paint over a few holes. That way, you’ll get less salt out next time you shake the container over your food.
