Stitch a funky pattern into your lampshade
You’ve already learned that stitching is a fantastic way of customizing a plain white lampshade. This next DIY project is also done with that technique. To make it, you’ll only require two cylinders cut from a nut container, acrylic paint, cross-stitch fabric, glue, and embroidery floss. The designs you can come up with to personalize your shade are endless.

Begin by cutting your can with a craft knife. Once you’ve finished, give the containers a rough coat of paint. Then, glue your embroidered fabric and trim the uneven pieces off the top. You could copy this person and choose a material that matches your lamp’s surroundings. As always, don’t forget to cut a small hole in the back for the on/off chain.
