Use wooden skewers to craft this metallic shade
For the last DIY craft, you’ll be learning to make a lampshade you’re probably familiar with by this point. Here’s yet another geometric shade to add to your collection. Though it seems like this piece of décor is made out of metal, it was actually sprayed with copper paint. In addition to that spray paint, you’ll need to purchase some wooden skewers and wire.

The first thing to do is measure and cut your skewers to the right length. Next, glue them together, forming hexagons of different sizes. After your structure is finished, spray it with copper paint. Lastly, use wire to tie your shade and give it that three-dimensional effect. These stylish lamps look best when paired with Edison light bulbs.
