Soda can tops can be cut to serve as fishing hooks
Survivalists will say that the key to surviving out in nature is to repurpose all items, even those generally considered to be trash. A soda can, for example, can be used to make a burner, and the top of it, the tab, can be adapted into a fishing hook.
It is quite a simple process. Cut the tab into the shape of a hook and file down the end so that it is sharp enough to impale fish skin. All that is left to do is to attach the tab to a line and to start fishing.
