Light a match without an ignition strip
We’ve all seen and used matchboxes. Those rough stips found on the sides of matchboxes do more than provide a rough surface to swipe the match on. Some actually contain chemicals that are essential to ignite the phosphorus in the heads.
That being said, the phosphorus will light up as long as it is exposed to enough heat. If the sun is still out, it’s possible to point a magnifying onto the match’s head, and the beam of light will ignite it.
