A small piece of wood and some line can make a rudimentary gorge
Fishing is one of the less energy-consuming ways to obtain food in the wild. However, it is essential to have the appropriate tools. This does not mean that it’s necessary to carry a fishing rod on every camping or hiking trip.
It’s possible to make a rudimentary gorge by carving a small branch with a knife. Shape it into a point on both ends and cut a v-notch in the middle. Wrap a piece of fishing line or thin rope around the center and spear some bait to one of the ends.
