Melt the ice on your driveway
If you live somewhere where winters have no mercy, you probably know the consequences of having driveways covered in ice. If you drive a vehicle, you can lose control of the car when the tires lose traction. And, if you choose to walk, you can fall flat on your face. With this in mind, it’s easy to say that icy driveways are a hazard.
Most people melt the ice on the driveway with salt. Still, you can also use baking soda to do just the same. Simply sprinkle the chemical compound over the frozen area, and the ice will disappear in the blink of an eye. This hack is fantastic because it lowers the freezing point of water, and it’s less abrasive than the classic salt trick.
