You should apply hair conditioner only to your ends
To get rid of all the oil and dirt in your hair, all you have to do is massage your scalp with shampoo. However, this is not how you should use your conditioner. To make your hair softer, conditioners contain humectants and oils. Some contain protein to bind your split ends, while others contain thickening chemicals to give your hair a fuller appearance.
Since dry, damaged hair has a negative charge, it might be static. And since conditioning chemicals contain a positive charge, they stick to hair and reduce static and frizzy hair. Many people try to apply conditioner to their entire head. Instead, you should apply it only to the ends of your hair and work your way upward. You should never conditioner to your scalp.
