Avoid throwing oils or fat down the sink
One thing you should never throw down the drain is oil or fat. We know it is tempting to wash used frying oil down the sink, but this can actually solidify and horribly clog your pipes. You will not be able to dislodge the ball with a liquid plumber or similar products. The only solution will be to call a plumber to unblock it, which can be expensive.
Instead, try pouring any used oils or fat into a container. Next time you make fried chicken, simply wait until the oil has cooled down completely. Then, put it in a disposable container, such as an old milk bottle, and place it in the fridge until it solidifies. After that, you can throw everything in the trash.
